Li Jianhong,born in Fenghua,Zhejiang,is one of the most active and important noise and improvisational musicians in mainland China.He is known for creating intense noise with his guitar and his style ranges between improvisation,noise,and psychedelic music.Since the late 1990s,Li Jianhong has formed bands such as Second Layer of Skin and D!O!D!O!D!,and has also participated in groups like Vagus Nerve and Mind Fiber.
Starting in 2008,Li Jianhong began exploring the relationship between environment and performance under the name“environmental improvisation,”opening up a new direction in his creative work.His works have been released by several international well-known labels such as P.S.F. Records ,Utech,and Archive,with distribution in China,the United States,Japan,Belgium,and other countries and regions. Besides, his band D!O!D!O!D! and himself are the only Chinese musicians who had published album at P.S.F. Records Label.
